Tragedy as Prominent Kano Monarch, Ibrahim Waziri Dies

Dr. Wada Ibrahim Waziri, the Sa’in Bichi, Hakimin Dambatta has passed on at the age of 89.

Family sources informed The Nation that the prominent monarch died Wednesday morning after a protracted sickness associated to old age.

The late monarch who was at one time the District Head of Makoda was born into a royal household and had his education early in Kano Middle School, passed out within the 1950s.

Late Wada Waziri was a veteran nursing officer who grew to become popular under the AVM Hamza Abdullahi regime in 1984 when he served as head of operation of the then Kano State Environmental Sanitation Agency, popularly referred to as Ruwa-Ruwa.

Throughout his life time, the frontline monarch Wada Waziri worked as a civil servant and later got involved in active politics.

An Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Atiku Nagodi has died in Kano State.

It was gathered that Nagodi, 54, the squadron commander, 9 police mobile force, Kano, died on Monday, May 4. After a protracted illness at his residence.
