Nigeria records 381 new COVID-19 cases in one day, total now 3,526

Nigeria recorded 381 new cases of the coronavirus confirmed by NCDC at 11:20pm.
183 are in Lagos, 55 are in Kano, 44 in Jigawa whereas 19 each are in Zamfara and Bauchi.
Number of fatalities elevated to 107, whereas recoveries elevated to 601.

Nigeria recorded 381 new cases of the coronavirus. The highest variety of cases recorded in a single day within the nation.

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control(NCDC), confirmed this in a tweet on Thursday, May 7.

The new cases carry the total number of infections within the nation to 3,526.

Of the new cases, 183 are in Lagos, 55 are in Kano, 44 in Jigawa. Whereas 19 each are in Zamfara and Bauchi.

11 are in Katsina, 9 in Borno, eight in Kwara, seven in Kaduna, six in Gombe, 5 in Ogun, 4 in Sokoto. 3 in Oyo and in Rivers, 2 in Niger and one each in Akwa-Ibom, Enugu and Plateau states.

The number of fatalities elevated from 103 to 107, whereas recoveries elevated from 534 to 601.

In the meantime, the federal government has dismissed the allegation that employees of Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) are charging N35,000 before collecting samples for Covid-19 test.
