Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule appoints IGP younger brother as new SSG

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule authorised the appointment of immediate younger brother of the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, Barr Mohammed Aliyu, as new Secretary to the State Government (SSG).

The brand new appointment is contained in a press release by the Governor’s spokesman, Yakubu Lamai. The statement stated the appointment takes immediate effect.

Aliyu obtained his first degree in 1986 from University of Maiduguri and a Bachelor of Law degree in 1997 from the University of Jos aside from attending quite a few courses and seminars.

The new SSG began his working carreer with the Bank of the north as a clerical officer before transferring to Plateau State Ministry of Education.
He later served as executive chairman of Lafia local government between 1999-2002.

Sule sacked the previous SSG Aliyu Tijjani Ahmed over corruption allegation of embezzling N248.5m two days ago.

He was investigated and indicted by the House of Assembly, which demanded his sack.
