Akpabio names Ibori, Uduaghan, Orji Kalu as beneficiaries of NDDC contracts

Former Governor Godswill Akpabio, who is now the minister of Niger Delta Affairs, allegedly connected three former governors to a number of contracts granted by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).

In accordance to The Sun newspaper, the minister in communique claimed that two Delta state governors carried out several contracts for the commission.

A former governor of Abia state equally a beneficiary of NDDC contracts, stated by the newspaper to have being named by the minister also.

The newspaper affirmed names revealed by Akpabio in the communique consist of:
  1. Emmanuel Uduaghan (former governor of Delta state)
  2. Senator Uzor Kalu (former governor of Abia state)
  3. James Ibori (former governor of Delta state)
  4. Senator Ifeanyi Ararume

Nevertheless, in an instant response Uzor Kalu, ex-governor of Abia state at present functions as the chief whip of the Senate alleged the NDDC has not paid the contractors who built the roads he made possible.
