The Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), launched different waterways routes for the commuting public as a result of deliberate partial shutting down of the Third Mainland Bridge from Friday, July 24, 2020.
A press release issued on Thursday by the General Manager, LASWA, Mr. Oluwadamilola Emmanuel, noted that the Company mapped out different routes via the waterways throughout the Lagos metropolis.
He listed the waterways routes that will probably be obtainable at peak durations (6:30-9 a.m and 4:30-6 p.m) to incorporate Ikorodu Terminal – Ebute-Ero, Addax Jetty (Sandfill), Five Cowries Terminal (Falomo); Ilaje Terminal – Ebute Ero – 5 Cowries Terminal (Falomo), Addax Jetty (Sandfill) and Ilaje Terminal – Badore, Oke Ira Nla.
Others, in accordance with him, are Badore (Ajah) – Ijede (Ikorodu); CMS Marina – Apapa (Flour Mills, Liverpool); Ajah (Badore, Oke Ira Nla) – Addax Jetty (Sandfill) and Five Cowries Terminal (Falomo) amongst others.
Whereas imploring Lagosians to reap the benefits of the chance supplied by the LASWA with the creation of other routes for commuters, he assured all passengers of their security, stressing that the trendy passengers’ boats are constructed and geared up with new know-how and monitored in real-time to make sure passenger safety always.
